Get Well #1

They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and today necessity ruled. I need to send a get well card and had absolutely no idea what to make, so I searched some challenge blogs for inspiration. This card will work perfectly for my needed card and will be entered in Jitterbuggin', Practical Scrappers, and Paper Playtime. The Jitterbuggin' challenge a sketch with color requirements and an apple (go to their blog for more details), Practical Scrapper's challenge is to use ribbon, and Paper Playtime's challenge is to make an autumn themed card. What is more autumn than argyle and apples?

Happy Birthday #2

Well, I didn't have the cartridge for this week's challenge at BBTB2, but since they said to play along with any candle cut- I made this card for a co-worker's birthday. I mean, what is more appropriate for a candle cut than a birthday card, right? Ok, maybe it wasn't the most creative application of a candle, but I'm very pleased with how the card turned out. The cuts are from Sweet Treats and I used the star and spots cuttlebug folders. Patterned and colored papers are DCVW and the solid black and cream are unnamed cardstock.

I Baked a Cake

And it wasn't just any cake- it was a wedding cake for my "cousins." Congrats Austin & Rhea!

Happy Birthday #1

This card, once again, fits two challenges this week- one from Cuttlebug Challenge and one from Practical Scrappers. The Cuttlebug Challenge was in celebration of their 2nd birthday- Congrats!- and required a birthday card with 2+ layers and of course, cuttlebugged- this uses bloom dots. The Practical Scrappers Challenge this week is to use white/color core cardstock. The embossed paper is core'dinations, and is lightly sanded to show off the embossed pattern. The sentiment is on a tag cut from Storybook, the ribbon is JoAnn's and the buttons are from my stash- but I *think* that they are Favorite Findings. Its so hard to remember sometimes! Anyway, hope you like it!

Two Challenges at Once!

This card was created using Sweet Treats and Wild Card and my mosiac & swiss dots cuttlebug folders. It also qualifies for not just one, but two challenges at Cuttlebug Challenges and Cricut Cardz! Its fun for me to stretch my abilities and share these with you.
