CWC- Cash in Your Stash!

This week's challenge is to use something that has been in your stash for over a year. So, I took it a step further and only used things that had been in my stash for a year! This is a gift card holder I made for a retirement group gift at work. The gift card holder itself is from Tags, Bags boxes and More. The house is from Create A Critter and slightly stretched on my Gypsy, and the font is Don Juan. Let me tell you, this went over well! I was so proud of myself!

Now it’s your turn!!! Get that hidden cash in your stash out and do something with it!  Here are just a few small guidelines:
* Must use your Cricut or some type of die cut on your project.
* Must use something that has been in your “Stash” for AT LEAST a YEAR.
* Your Project must be a new project for this challenge and your post MUST have a link back to CWC.
* Your entry needs to be a direct link to your project and not just your blog.

Now head back to Cooking with Cricut and play along with us! We can’t wait to see how you use the “Cash In Your Stash”!

CWC Bunny Hop!

Welcome to Jenna's Favorite Things and the CookingWithCricut.com Bunny Hop!  With Easter just around the corner we wanted to share some of our ideas and give you some inspiration for your Easter projects!  If you've come from visiting Roberta at TX Scrapper Mom, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning. Go HERE.
So, I have to admit to being really bad at following directions- this is an Easter hop and I get a little sidetracked. lol. I stuck with an Easter color scheme, but made a gift box for a baby shower I am headed to this week. But everyone needs gift boxes and you can always adapt colors, right?

This was made using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I know, I can't believe I only used one cartridge either. I cut the flower box at 10" and the flower tag (blackout feature) at 3" and 1.5". Papers are DCWV and BoBunny. The decorative squares on the sides were just cut to fit with my paper slicer. So, it was totally easy to put together and it finishes with about 2.5" square sides, so pretty decent size. You could fit a couple chocolates in there- or other little toys for Easter. I'm actually putting baby hairbows in it for the shower I'm going to. It should fit all 3 or 4 I'm planning on making. I'll try and post those when I get to them too.

I'm also offering a prize as part of the Easter Hop- a digital stamp given by Melin at Papercrafting World.
Its adorable and perfect for any baby projects you may need to do! Or any others you can dream up! To win, you must be a follower and leave a comment, that's all!

Now it's your turn!  Link up your Easter-related project at CookingWithCricut.com.  Be sure to include a Cricut or other die cut machine cut on your project.   The Design Team will pick their three favorites and one lucky person will be chosen randomly to win one of the prize packages being offered in this hop. Make sure to go on and visit Anita next!

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #21

Today's challenge is to make something with two shades of green. With that and S.t Patrick's day, it would have made sense to make a St. Patrick's Day card, but I didn't need a St. Patrick's Day card, I needed a baby shower card, so here's what I made:

The baby in the buggy is from simply charmed (3"), the face stamp is a Peachy Keen Stamp and the sentiment is SU. All paper is plain cardstock and the Cuttlebug embossing folder is Seeing Spots.

Remember, for more inspiration, you can stop by the Cooking With Cricut home page to see what the other chefs have cooked up for you this week.  Then create your own GREEN project (remember to use your Cricut or other cutter) so that you can enter our challenge this week.  You have until Tuesday of next week to enter to become eligible for our prizes!  Just link your project back to our homepage.

A cake for a Baby Shower!

I can't take all the credit for this cake. While I did do the baking and stacking, my wonderful husband built and painted the model airplane that is the topper and my cousin Austin made the fondant clouds. The two tiers are different flavors- the bottom is a devil's food with cream cheese filling and the top tier is snickerdoodle with cinnamon buttercream frosting stolen from my friend Kami's blog at Everyday Heaven. That is one recipe you will not be sorry you tried!

An apology and a winner

Fellow crafters,
I have to apologize for being remiss in posting- and more especially for dropping the ball on announcing our winner for the blog hop. Without further ado, our winner is:

This is made with one of Melin's newest releases from pagekits.com! This is from the Bloom cut file. Papers I used were DCVW (pinks & green), Core'dinations (teal) and BoBunny (yellow). Its a little hard to tell in this picture, but the bouquet is on pop dots and then the center flower is also popped to give the whole thing some dimension. The teal paper has been stamped with a fiskars sentiment.

So, I sat down at my crafting table to make a few cards- I have a couple birthdays coming up- and I got distracted by a completely different UFO... Which isn't quite as unfinished anymore:

I still need to add the mitered border out of minky... Which Lily LOVES! If you're interested in making a puff quilt like this check out the tutorial at HoneyBear Lane! Or if you want one, but don't want to make it, you can check out her Etsy shop. ;) I'll post pictures when its finished!

Cooking with Cricut Challenge - Glittermania!

I planned on using more glitter for my glittermaina project, but inspiration hit, and who's to argue if it actually comes to visit?? This card will be a note for one of my daughter's daycare teachers, since her favorite song is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". I'm sure that they sing that over and over, since I know I do ;) I can't deny loving it every time I do though!

Remember to enter your glittered project at Cooking With Cricut to play along!
