Cooking with Cricut Challenge - Swirls & Twirls!

Seattle has been getting hit with nasty cold weather and snow this week and I just needed something cheerful for this weeks card! The paper is DCWV and the cartridge I used was Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art. I fit the twirly to length- 5" and put it on pop dots. Ribbon is from JoAnn's and a random scrap of orange ribbon left from another project.

Now let’s see what you got! Get your best swirly, twirly groove on and join the fun! Just enter your project at www.cookingwithcricut.com! Remember:

  • It must be a new project and it must be for this challenge.
  • You need to include a link back to this challenge so YOUR wonderful readers can join the fun too
You must TRY VERY HARD to use your Cricut or other cutter somehow!

This is made with one of Melin's newest releases from pagekits.com! This is from the Bloom cut file. Papers I used were DCVW (pinks & green), Core'dinations (teal) and BoBunny (yellow). Its a little hard to tell in this picture, but the bouquet is on pop dots and then the center flower is also popped to give the whole thing some dimension. The teal paper has been stamped with a fiskars sentiment.

Now, here's how you can win this same cut file!! All you have to do is be a follower and leave a comment! Super easy!

Distracted Crafting...

So, I sat down at my crafting table to make a few cards- I have a couple birthdays coming up- and I got distracted by a completely different UFO... Which isn't quite as unfinished anymore:

I still need to add the mitered border out of minky... Which Lily LOVES! If you're interested in making a puff quilt like this check out the tutorial at HoneyBear Lane! Or if you want one, but don't want to make it, you can check out her Etsy shop. ;) I'll post pictures when its finished!
